Introduction

Hello, everyone! I am Prajwal Desai, a Microsoft Intune & Windows 365 MVP dedicated to sharing my expertise through blogs, forums, and video tutorials. I’m delighted to share that my Microsoft MVP award has been renewed for the 14th time, and I still feel as though I’m only getting started.

July was a hectic month. I have successfully migrated an environment to Intune. The migration presented several challenges, but it was also a valuable learning experience.

Microsoft has several new announcements and updates across their products. Notably, Intune got some long-awaited features such as updated per-device sync that now displays progress, Samsung Knox Enterprise Firmware-Over-The-Air (E-FOTA) integration, custom compliance settings for macOS, simplified Autopilot provisioning without requiring device registration, and much more.

As I always say, it’s an honor to present the latest edition of the Recast Endpoint Management Recap. Don’t forget to subscribe to the newsletter on the left-hand side of this page.

Prajwal’s take on Microsoft news

There have been numerous developments and significant announcements from Microsoft in areas such as Intune, Configuration Manager, Windows 365. In case you haven’t yet had time to catch up on all the announcements from Microsoft across different products, I’m happy to offer a recap of the important updates.

  1. The Intune admin center has improved the per-device sync experience by adding a progress indicator. This allows for easier confirmation of ongoing actions and provides clarity on their status.
  2. Starting September 3, 2026, Windows 365 Frontline service plans will be renamed to Windows 365 Flex. There will be no changes to functionality, licensing, user entitlements, provisioning, or billing.
  3. Starting August 18, 2026, Microsoft will introduce updates to the Microsoft Copilot web, desktop, and mobile app experiences to make it easier for users to distinguish between their work and personal accounts.
  4. Beginning September 1, 2026, Microsoft will begin rolling out passkeys as the default authentication experience in Microsoft Entra ID.
