Recast Community Terms of Use
Last updated: 4/21/2025
Welcome to the Recast Software Community — a place where users and Recast team members come together to share ideas, solve problems, and help each other get the most out of Recast solutions.
We want interactions and conversations across community channels to be helpful, respectful, and fun. By joining and participating, you agree to these terms.
1. Why We’re Here
– Ask and answer questions about Recast Software solutions, IT problems, and market trends
– Share scripts, tips, use cases, and helpful resources
– Learn from each other’s day-to-day experiences
– Connect with fellow IT professionals and Recasters
2. Who Can Join
Community channels are for Recast Software users and employees to connect and engage — many of these are open for all to join, and some are by invitation only. Access is a privilege, and we may limit or remove access to keep things safe and productive for everyone.
3. What’s Cool to Share
You’re welcome to post:
– Questions and advice
– Scripts, screenshots, and documents (non-confidential only, please!)
– Links to third-party resources like blogs, GitHub, or docs
Just make sure you have the right to share what you post, and that it doesn’t include private, sensitive, or proprietary info — especially anything from your employer.
4. What’s Off Limits
To keep this a respectful and productive space, please don’t post:
– Anything offensive, harassing, or discriminatory
– Spam, ads, or promotional content
– Job listings or recruiting messages
– Other people’s contact info without their permission
– Anything confidential or protected by law or company policy
Let’s keep it friendly and focused on helping each other.
5. How We Use Shared Content
When you post something within community channels, you’re giving Recast Software a worldwide, royalty-free license to use it forever — that includes using, modifying, and sharing it with other users, in this community and beyond (like in support docs or help articles).
Don’t worry — you still own your content, and we’ll do our best to give credit where it’s due.
6. Moderation
Recast employees help guide and moderate community discussions. If something doesn’t align with these terms or the community spirit, we may edit or remove it. We might also limit or revoke access when needed — no formal appeals process, just good judgment.
7. A Quick Word on Advice
Advice and tips shared here — especially from other users — might not always be perfect or up to date. Please test anything before using it in your environment, especially scripts or config changes. Always double-check before you deploy.
8. Our Liability
We’re here to help, but Recast Software isn’t responsible for anything users post or any actions you take based on what you read here. Use your best judgment, and know that participation is at your own risk. Anything posted in this community is not subject to support SLAs or other service requirements.
9. Changes
We might update these terms from time to time. If we do, we’ll let you know. By sticking around, you agree to any updates.
10. Need Help?
