Introduction

Hello, everyone! I am Prajwal Desai, a Microsoft Intune & Windows 365 MVP dedicated to sharing my expertise through blogs, forums, and video tutorials.

Microsoft has several new announcements across their products. Some of these newly introduced features are in preview, while others are generally available. Toward the end of the year, I hope to see the release of Windows 11 version 26H2. It’s all going to be so exciting.

As I always say, it’s an honor to present the latest edition of the Recast Endpoint Management Recap. Don’t forget to subscribe to the newsletter on the left-hand side of this page.

Prajwal’s take on Microsoft news

The last few weeks have been marked by numerous developments and significant announcements from Microsoft in areas such as Intune, Configuration Manager, and Windows 365. In case you haven’t yet had time to catch up on all the news, I’m happy to offer a recap of the important updates.

  1. Windows 11 version 26H2 is available for early testing and validation via the Windows Insider Program.
  2. Microsoft has announced general availability of Microsoft Teams for Remote App scenarios, expanding support for optimized Microsoft Teams experiences when connecting to Azure Virtual Desktop.
  3. Starting in July 2026, new printer installations will default to Windows Ready Print where supported, enabling a simpler and more reliable setup experience.
  4. Intune can now auto-update Enterprise App Catalog apps on targeted devices when new versions are available, if auto-update is enabled and the app has a required assignment.
