What is Enhansoft Reporting for SCCM-Enhansoft Reporting

What is Enhansoft Reporting for SCCM?

Enhansoft Reporting enhances the value of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) by extending the inventory details collected by SCCM. Enhansoft Reporting then puts these inventory details into over 150 clear and precise reports. It doesn’t matter what version of SCCM you are using, you can use all of Enhansoft Reporting’s reports! This new reporting package takes all of the hard work out of creating your own custom reports.

Dashboards/Reports

Enhansoft Reporting’s over 150 dashboards and reports are sorted into 25 categories. Each category is a complete set of dashboards and reports. Later on in this post you will see the entire list of categories. Most categories will have dashboards and reports that start at a high level. From these dashboards and reports you can then drill down to reports about specific computers.
For example the, “Overall Software Update Status Dashboard,” is a high level report. It drills down to, “Count of PCs Missing Software Updates by Classification,” which in turn drills down to, “List of PCs With a Particular Software Update,” which finally drills down to, “Computer Software Update Details by Classification.”

What Should I Expect from Enhansoft Reporting Categories?

Read below the short descriptions about each category found within Enhansoft Reporting.

Adobe

The dashboards/reports in this category will display details about Adobe licensing within your SCCM environment.

All In One

This category contains a report that will provide details about a single computer. This is some of the information that you will see about an individual computer: manufacturer, model, last logon user, disk space, installed applications, etc.

Applications and Packages

The dashboards/reports in this category will provide you with details about which SCCM applications and packages were deployed to SCCM clients. This information is useful in order to understand how and when an application was deployed to a computer.

Computer Details

This category has a single report that is designed to mimic the beloved old SCCM 2007 ASP Computer Details report. In this updated report you can access all computer-specific reports from one place.

ConfigMgr Site

This category of dashboards and reports will provide you with more details about your SCCM environment. Many of the dashboards and reports in this category are designed to allow a SCCM administrator to review the health and status of the SCCM environment without having to access the console.

Dashboard

Similar to the Configuration Manager Site category of reports, this category of dashboards and reports will provide you with more detailed metrics about your SCCM environment. Many of the dashboards and reports are designed to allow the SCCM administrator to review the health status and additional metrics of the SCCM environment without having to access the console.

Local Users and Groups

This category of reports provides details about local accounts on each computer as well as the membership of each local security group. This is particularly useful when performing a security audit of all computers within your SCCM environment.

Mapped Drives

These reports show details about user-mapped network drives. This information is useful when you need to audit who has connected to which network shares.

Mapped Printers

The dashboards and reports in this category are useful if you need to update the printer driver for a particular printer model.

Microsoft Office

This category of dashboards and reports will allow you to search for all known Office SKUs or unknown Office SKUs by using a built-in filter. These reports will also remove duplicate entries to ensure that you have the most accurate count information about your Microsoft Office licenses.

Mobile Device

These dashboards and reports will help you understand what mobile operating systems (OS) exist within your environment. By providing you with a list of all mobile devices you can ensure that only supported devices and OS are connecting to your environment.

Monitors

The dashboards and reports in this category will help you understand your stock of computer monitors. Reports show details such as serial numbers, monitor sizes, resolutions, etc. Our current customers will recognize that this category contains the original Monitor Information Reporting (MIR) reports.

Network Interface Controllers

This category of dashboards and reports will show you how many network interface controllers (NIC) are installed on each computer. This is useful information to have particularly when identifying computers with two or more NIC. In this case, these computers may be connected to two different networks, for example, wired and wireless.

Proxy

These reports are useful if you need to update or troubleshoot proxy setting issues.

Roles and Features

The reports in this category will provide you with information about the roles and features installed on a Windows Server computer.

Services

Once this category of dashboards and reports is installed, you will be able to see what services are installed on each computer, and what user account is used to run each service. This category is useful prior to deleting a service account or changing its password because you can proactively see what services on which servers will be affected before making any updates to the services.

Share

This category of reports allows for an accurate and efficient review of all shares (shared folders, shared printers, etc.). Knowing this information is helpful in tracking down rogue shares that may not be properly configured or shouldn’t exist in the first place. Routinely reviewing these reports will help reduce risk because administrators can now be more proactive in changing or removing shares as needed.

Software Inventory

These dashboards and reports will provide you with details about your software inventory. They will help you understand what software was recently used. One of the reports will also help you to compare the software installed on two different computers.

Software Updates

These software update reports provide you with the ability to quickly and reliably determine the software update status of computers within your environment.

SQL Server

This category of dashboards and reports will provide you with details about your SQL Server installations. This includes versions (2017, 2016, 2014, etc.) and editions (Standard, Enterprise, etc.) installed on each computer.

SQL Server Databases

This category of reports will provide you with details about your SQL Server databases. Not only will you see database compatibility details, but you can determine what SQL Server instance each database is associated with.

System Center Endpoint Protection (SCEP)

These reports are meant to help IT administrators and security teams by giving them a quick status of their SCEP environment.

System Enclosure

This series of dashboards and reports will help you understand the system enclosure attributes of your PCs. For example, you will be able to see what computers are laptops, desktops, notebooks, or rack-mounted. As well, you’ll be able to see the manufacturer of each system enclosure.

User Programs

This category of reports will help you update or troubleshoot user-installed programs.

Volumes

These reports will help to ensure that adequate disk space exists for each volume.
