New Features & Bug Fixes: Recast Software 5.6

BitLocker Key Retrieval from Entra ID

You asked and we delivered! Right Click Tools Enterprise users now have the ability to retrieve BitLocker keys from Entra ID. With this newest Right click tool, you can view and copy BitLocker recovery keys that are stored in Entra ID.

View Domain Names for Hybrid Joined Devices

Recast Builder, part of the Recast Automation suite included in Right Click Tools Enterprise, allows you to build your own custom Right Click Tools from hundreds of actions. With this release, you can now utilize Builder to view the domain name for an endpoint by looking up a device’s Microsoft Entra ID GUID from Configuration Manager.

Bug Fix Highlights:

  • In the Software Update Status Console Dashboard, part of Right Click Tools Enterprise, we have fixed the bug causing an ‘Out of Memory Exception’ when running the Get Device Collection Members by Collection action.  
  • In Endpoint Insights, we’ve resolved a bug that was generating a blank report when attempting to run the Overall Missing Software Update Status by Classification report for a Software Update Group.  
  • Also in Endpoint Insights, we’ve added new docking station detections to fix a ‘Failed to Decrypt Docking Station Detection Info’ error. 
  • We have addressed a bug in Application Manager that would cause updates to the default distribution point to not be saved.
